Being Intentional…

Jesus focused on the twelve disciples more than the multitudes of people.  Don’t get me wrong he cared for everyone and reached out to the public, but he was very intentional about pouring into his disciples. He took a handful of ordinary men and did extraordinary things for His kingdom. What are your thoughts about this? What can we do to reproduce this in our own lives?

The Resurrection Power of Jesus

The resurrection of Jesus is what followers of Christ stand on as confidence that Jesus conquered sin and death. He predicted his death and resurrection in John 2:19 when,19Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” What is so incredible is that Jesus was talking about himself as the temple. So on the cross the temple (Jesus) would be destroyed, and in the grave it would be rebuilt. There is so much evidence for Jesus resurrection. Josephus a reliable historian wrote much about Jesus and his secular writings match up very well with the biblical accounts. The disciples go from being freaked out of their minds to preaching boldly after meeting the resurrected Jesus. It is also pretty improbable for a small group of disciples to take out a Roman squad of soldiers…Pilate says in Matthew, “take a guard.” Which didn’t actually mean just take one guard with you but was a figure of speech to mean take a squad. The list could go on for evidence of Jesus’ resurrection, but one piece of evidence we are all responsible for conveying to the world is our-self as personal evidence. We the church are called the Bride of Christ, yet so many seem more like a corpse bride. What are signs that a person has personally been born again by the resurrection power of Jesus? What can a person daily do to feed this power?
